RBHN: Premiere Treatment Facility in Boca Raton

At Recreate Behavioral Health Network (RBHN), our mission is to help people build rewarding and fulfilling lives. And this help can take various forms, be it supervised medical detox, outpatient therapy, residential programs, aftercare services, or intervention planning. But what conditions can the professionals at our facilities treat? Are our programs a good match for your needs? And how does our facility in Boca Raton fit into the wider RBHN network?

A Little Bit About Recreate Behavioral Health Network

RBHN is a national, multi-state network of mental health and substance abuse treatment providers. All our facilities offer accredited, individualized, and evidence-based therapies for communities throughout the country. So far, our network covers:
  • New Jersey: Garden State Treatment Center
  • New York: Long Island Treatment Center
  • Ohio: Recreate Ohio
  • Florida: Allure Detox, Recreate Life Counseling, and Recreate Behavioral Health Network
As you can see, the Boca Raton facility isn’t our only location in South Florida. Let’s check out what distinguishes it, though.

Our Boca Raton Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility in Boca Raton serves as the headquarters for our extensive network. However, it’s also a part of the broader Palm Beach County recovery ecosystem. It’s a recognized behavioral health resource for the local community, working to reduce the barrier to care. And much like teams at our other facilities, the team here operates with a multi-faceted approach, combining evidence-based and solution-focused therapies.

Addiction Treatment Programs at RBHN

Addiction is a disease of the mind, with clear changes to the brain circuits that affect our reward center, stress levels, and self-control ability. These changes can be tied to a number of substances, from alcohol to hard-core drugs. Even certain activities can rewire the brain so much that they end up being problematic and addictive. Think gambling, for instance. At RBHN, our clinical teams can address many addictive diseases, including:

Mental Health Programs at RBHN

RBHN doesn’t just provide recovery programs to help those suffering from substance use disorders (SUDs). We also offer mental health treatment services at our Boca Raton clinic. All of our mental health programs are built around a foundation of a supportive, healing environment that empowers individuals to develop effective coping strategies. But the exact treatment tools and protocols vary based on the diagnosis and individual differences. In some cases, we rely on interpersonal therapy (IPT). For others, a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and experiential therapy works best. Cognitive processing (CPT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) are also available at RBHN. Both can be used to help individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) recover. Of course, psychiatrists can resort to medication management as a complement to traditional therapy when needed. Besides post-traumatic stress disorder, some of the mental health conditions we treat:
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder (BPD)
  • Depression
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Schizophrenia

Dual Diagnosis Prevalence and Treatment

Substance abuse and mental illnesses can and do exist independently of each other. However, they sometimes co-exist, which is what healthcare professionals call a dual diagnosis. And it’s more common than you may think. In fact, SAMHSA reports that, in 2024, over 21 million people in the US had a substance abuse issue co-occurring with a mental health condition. Those 21+ million account for a bit under half of all adults diagnosed with an SUD. And the mental illness for nearly 7 million adults with a dual diagnosis was considered serious enough to impair or interfere with major life activities. Some experts believe that the changes in the brain caused by long-term substance abuse can make a person more susceptible to mental illnesses. On the other hand, it’s also possible that serious mental disorders can make people more prone to recreational drug use or alcoholism. Unfortunately, this attempt to self-medicate is risky and can even aggravate mental illness. But regardless of all the causes and factors that keep the cycle going, the best treatment approach is often the integrated one. That’s why we screen for mental health conditions. For dual diagnosis cases, we provide personalized, comprehensive treatment services that target both diseases simultaneously.

Flexible Recovery Settings at RBHN

During the assessment phase, healthcare professionals consider each patient’s diagnosis, disease severity, and personal needs. They keep all this in consideration as they decide on the best level of care. This level of care, then, helps them choose the “right” treatment program. Between the Boca Raton location and the other facilities, RBHN provides patients with a full continuum of care. Here’s a quick look at the most common treatment options:

Inpatient Detox

Detoxifying your body of drugs and/or alcohol isn’t just an extremely unpleasant experience. It can be outright dangerous. That’s why many patients need a brief period (a few days to a few weeks) of supervised detox before they can kick off their rehab program. For detox, we refer patients to Allure Detox, located in West Palm Beach, 40 minutes or so from our Boca Raton headquarters.

Residential Rehab

Residential or inpatient rehab is a structured, live-in program. It offers round-the-clock oversight and a high-intensity addiction treatment plan, full of therapy, psychiatric care, and group activities. Some programs even incorporate medications. This level of care is often used for patients who need ongoing clinical monitoring, are tapering off drugs, have a co-occurring serious mental health condition, or have a triggering home situation. Patients suffering from polysubstance use might find residential programs ideal, too.

Partial Hospitalization

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a step down from residential rehab. Patients no longer need to spend the night at the facility. They do, however, need to attend a set treatment schedule at the facility for about 5 days per week. All in all, you’d be expected to commit 20–30 hours a week to the treatment program.

Outpatient Services

During an outpatient program, you only receive therapy and psychiatric support for a few hours (usually under 9) every week. This makes it ideal for long-term maintenance after the actual rehab. There’s also the intensive outpatient program (IOP), which is midway between PHPs and the standard outpatient services. IOPs offer moderate treatment intensity and require a time commitment of 9–20 hours every week.

Virtual Rehab

RBHN now offers telehealth services for problem gambling. This way, Boca Raton locals can access the treatment program available at our Long Island location, hundreds of miles away.

Sober Living

No matter how much hard work you put into the rehab program, transitioning back to “normal” life can be a tricky feat. Suddenly, you lose the structure and routine you were used to, and triggers seem to be everywhere around you. In cases like this, we recommend a short stay in a transitional sober living facility. Recreate Life Counseling has two FARR-certified, level-four sober living facilities. One is in Boynton Beach, and the other is in Delray Beach, which makes them both remarkably close to RBHN’s Boca Raton location.

Why Recreate Behavioral Health Network

There are several reasons to choose RBHN as your treatment provider. You can hear some client testimonials and success stories to get a sense of what people appreciated most about their experience with our facilities. But here’s why we stand out at a glance:

Recovery FAQs

How soon can you get me into rehab?

It depends on a number of factors, including the level of care, your location, whether you’re willing to travel for treatment, and your chosen treatment provider’s capacity. That said, same-day admission to rehab is still possible. Because RBHN operates at a national level, we can provide our patients with a full continuum of care, with shorter wait times. Get in touch with our admissions team today to see if there are any same-day openings at any of our facilities.

How can I get to the RBHN facility in Boca Raton?

We’re in suite 404 of the Camino Real office building at 7700 West Camino Real. For detailed directions, use our location on Google Maps. And if you’re flying in for treatment, don’t hesitate to ask for more guidance. Someone from our team can meet you at the airport, help you gather your essentials (if you’re missing any), and get you right to the doors of the treatment facility.

What comes after rehab?

Recovery is a lifelong journey. The work doesn’t stop once you exit your rehab program or complete a few months at a sober living facility. You still have to actively avoid triggers and make better choices every single day. This sounds hard, but doing it as part of a community goes a long way. You’ll find people going through similar challenges. They’ll support and hold you accountable. That’s why we’ve created our alumni program for people who’ve graduated from the RBHN recovery programs. Whether you choose to stay in Boca Raton or not, the program will provide much-needed support, valuable resources, virtual meetings, and fun events.

What if I’ve tried quitting before and failed?

Addiction, by definition, is a chronic, relapsing disorder. So, you should never look at your previous attempt as a failure. It’s part of the journey, and you have to keep working towards lasting sobriety. Our healthcare professionals can help you do just that by adjusting the level of care to something more appropriate, such as a high-intensity inpatient program with 24-hour oversight.
